On Saturday August 5th, Crane Lake once
again opened its gates and welcomed over 60 Alumni on camp
for the day to revisit the camp grounds that they spent
their younger summers in having fun and making life long
friends. We had former campers and counselors return
spanning 5 decades including former owner/directors Ed and
Barbara Ulanoff. The alum spent time reminiscing about
their summers on camp and walking around to the spots they
loved so much on camp. After a BBQ lunch, everyone
made their way to the Crane Lake softball diamond to play a
game where the post-1991 Alum edged out the older alumni.
Then after a dip in the pool, everyone headed to Michael's
Restaurant to continue their visiting.
Below, please find pictures from the day
and of course if you have any to add, feel free to email
them to Josh Berlin

More
than 60 Alumni Gather in NYC
On Thursday, February 23rd Crane Lake Alumni in the NYC Area
all gathered at NOIDEA BAR for an evening of catching up and
reconnecting. Alumni in attendance spanned from Arnie
Haskell (camper and staff pre-1970) to campers and staff
spanning the early 80's to the turn of the century,
including Arnie's son Evan. It was amazing to see over
60 people gather and share stories, reconnect and inquire
about camp today. Although the ages were wide spread,
everyone seemed to enjoy the chance to talk and recount
stories about their years at camp.
We are hoping soon to post some pictures
of the evening and plan on setting up a Summer Saturday to
welcome everyone on camp for the day.
Thank You to Andy Lindner for tracking
people down and doing the leg work to make the gathering
happen.

CLC planned an Alumni Day this past summer season so
that many of us in the area of camp could spend the day on
camp and visit with each other. The Alumni Day at CLC
was on Saturday, August 13th and saw more
than 50 Alumni travel back to the Berkshires for a day of
good food, softball, swimming and fun. We even had all
those alumni who were Color War Generals in their camp years
help us pull off a fake break for the rest of the camp.
After the day ended, the Alumni headed to Michael's
Restaurant in Stockbridge and spent the evening catching up
some more. Lynn Putterman put together a great
slideshow of pictures from the past and the group helped
former owner/director Ed Ulanoff celebrate his birthday with
a big cake.
